IT’S HERE! IT’S HERE! It’s HERE!
It’s been eight months in the making. Two epic recording days at a local acoustic church and the follow-up days of listening and deciding on what tracks would make the cut. Then obtaining rights and licenses for those songs, finalizing proofs for the album art… and finally it’s here: the Sweet Scarlet debut Christmas album, Winter Songs! We are thrilled to share the labour of love with you and we hope you enjoy it! You can buy your own copy on iTunes or if you prefer a CD copy, we will have them on sale at our upcoming shows.
We had the pleasure of announcing our album release as we went on a mini road trip to perform one show in Fanny Bay and another on Quadra Island. The communities in Fanny Bay and Quadra welcomed us with unbelievable warmth and hospitality (we even saw our name in lights and a huge poster announcing the show!). They seemed to enjoy our eclectic and varied repertoire and we enjoyed performing it. It was a great way to celebrate our new album, by singing to two enthusiastic and large audiences. We also learned that the two newest babies added to the Sweet Scarlet family are great roadies (as well as their loving Dads).
Over the next few weeks we will be working away putting together this year’s Holiday show, happening on December 10th at the Orpheum Annex in Vancouver. There should be some sparkle, a whole lot of holiday cheer and buckets full of fun. Make sure you get your tickets early, the venue has a limited capacity and we’ve already sold 50% of our tickets!
