Some Sweet Thank-Yous | Vancouver A Cappella

Screen Shot 2015-10-07 at 8.09.09 PMIf you attended our Christmas Show last year, (if you didn’t save the date for this year: Dec. 13th) or our in the house last fall, or our co-presented show with The Squares this past spring, you may have seen a mysterious man in a kilt running around with a camera in hand. We thought we would take the time to introduce this kilt crusader who has been putting in extra long hours to create Sweet Scarlet’s first EPK!   Gideon Flitt, from Screamin’ Dog Productions, is a self taught painter, musician, baker, brewer, hair stylist and yes, movie maker! He was able to capture the essence of Sweet Scarlet and put together 2 (1 spring/1 Christmas) EPK’s that we will be using for festival applications and promotions. So stay tuned for our official EPK release. A big thank you to Gideon and his team for all their efforts.

Another big thank you is also in order.   Thank you to Jessica Ng, an extremely busy mother of three, who volunteered her time to knit 6 toques and scarves that Sweet Scarlet will be proudly sporting this holiday season. We are extremely fortunate to have such talented and supportive friends in our lives! Thank you Jessica!

Speaking of our new accessories, Sweet Scarlet will be looking amazing in our new handmade items at this year’s Yule Duel! What is the Yule Duel you ask?

Screen Shot 2015-10-07 at 8.14.03 PM“The Gastown Yule Duel brings together community and company choirs from across Vancouver for a night of holiday entertainment benefiting the Downtown Eastside hospice, May’s Place. Choirs will sing loud and proud from the sidewalks to win favour with the crowd and a crew judges, culminating in a sing-off on the main stage.”

Yes, it’s like our own ‘Pitch Perfect’ dream come true!

For more information please check out the Yuel Duel website. We hope you can make it out to cheer us on!

With love,

The Scarlettes
