New Music Time! | Vancouver Choir

With the start of a fresh new year (and a fresh new decade!), we are SO excited to be learning some fresh new music! After our January listening party, we had a long list of new tunes that we wanted to get started on as we prepare for the International Choral Kathaumixw in July. So we’ve jumped right in!

We’ve got an impressive repertoire of Canadian composers and arrangers in our line-up this year, including Sarah Quartel, Don Macdonald, Marie-Claire Saindon, and Stephen Hatfield. And although we are still in the learning stages of most of their pieces, we are really excited for the vocal challenges and new melodies that these Canadian voices bring to the choral world, and our own performance repertoire.

Don’t forget – you can catch us LIVE in just a few short weeks at It Takes a Village in Richmond, BC on February 29, 2020. It will be a heart-warming evening of music, storytelling, laughter and tears that you don’t want to miss! Children 0-18 years old are FREE, and adults are only $30.
